Blogging hit this web site in the end of November 2006, when I installed a web log about general issues (diary, opinions) in Danish. A new one saw the light to-day
I just opened a web log for information technology issues. It has long been my wish to operate with this because computers and other gadgets consume ever more time every week. Web logs are simply very expedient ways to run and update a kind of stream-of-consciousness in a digitalised version. I admit that there is much hype among them that I don't adhere to. I am satisfied with the formal advantages of blogging: easy production and publication of information. Since much of what I want publish is a mixture of news and opinions, web logs seem to be the right medium to deal with. You express your opinions and views to the small world of your individual life as well as the larger surrounding world.
Deeper below in my heart I know that this may be a mere forerunner to a major restructuring of this web site that may come about the next 18 months — Content Management Systems (CMS) that are based on PhP and MySQL databases. The web log software, which in this case is based on pMachine from pmachine.com, is also operating on the data base that my web hotel provides, and was as such just the very first step into the world of MySQL.
